Ranks in the Nigerian Air Force
The Nigerian Air Force, like other arms of the Nigerian Armed Forces like the Nigerian ArmyNigerian Army and Navy, is composed of both commissioned and non-commissioned officers, also regarded to as Airmen.
Difference between commissioned and non-commissioned officers
Commissioned officers are the ones who got in through the Direct Short Service Commission or graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy while the non-commissioned officers are the ones who got in through the normal recruitment.
The commissioned officers get to the top and are in the highest rank, they also give orders to the non-commissioned officers. The non-commissioned are the poster boys; they go from recruit to Warrant officers.
