How to Transfer Credit on Mtn, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile

Here’s how to transfer credit on MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile (Etisalat).

How to transfer credit on MTN

MTN

MTN termed their airtime transfer as Share ‘N’ Sell.

There are two ways you can transfer credit on MTN. Either through SMS or USSD. Both are fast and reliable.

First thing is to have a transfer PIN and here’s how to get one, if you don’t have it already:

SMS: Send DefaultPIN YourPIN YourPIN to 777

USSD: *600*DefaultPIN*YourPIN*YourPIN#

The MTN default PIN is 0000 and Your PIN is the one you want to change to.

Through SMS;

To transfer on MTN through SMS, go to messages and type:

Transfer Receiver’sNumber Amount PIN and send to 777.

Example: let’s say I want to transfer #100 to 08123456789 now, I’ll do it like this:

Transfer 08123456789 100 1221 and then send it to 777.

Through USSD;

To transfer on MTN through USSD, using the example above, you’ll dial:

*600*08123456789*100*1221# and then press send.

You’ll receive a confirmation SMS upon successful transfer.

How to transfer credit on Glo

GLO

Glo termed this as EasyShare

You also need to have a PIN to transfer on Glo. So firstly here’s how to get a pin:

Dial *312*DefaultPIN*NewPIN*NewPIN#

The default PIN is 00000 and New PIN is the new PIN you would like to change to.

Once you’ve been assigned your new pin, you can use it to transfer airtime anytime. Here’s how to do it:

Dial *131*Receiver’sNumber*Amount*PIN#

Example: let’s say you want to transfer #100 to 08123456789 now, you’ll do it like this:

*312*08123456789*100*12215#

You’ll receive a confirmation SMS upon successful transfer.

How to transfer credit on Airtel

Airtel

Airtel named their airtime transfer Me2U

To change your PIN, if you don’t have it already, send:

PIN DefaultPIN NewPIN to 432

Airtel default PIN is 1234. New PIN is the PIN you’d like to change to.

After getting your PIN, to transfer, send:

2U Receiver’sNumber Amount PIN to 432

Example: let’s say you want to transfer #100 to 08123456789 now, you’ll do it like this:

2U 08123456789 100 1221 to 432.

How to transfer on Etisalat (9mobile)

Etisalat

If you don’t have a PIN, dial:

*247*defaultPIN*NewPIN#

The default PIN is 0000 and New PIN is the PIN you want to change to.

After that, to transfer, simply dial:

*223*PIN*Amount*Receiver’sNumber#

Example: let’s say you want to transfer 100 to 08123456789 and your PIN is 1221, here’s how you’ll do it:

*223*1221*100*08123456789#

And that’s it.

That’s how you can transfer airtime on each of the networks.

Note, however, that you can only transfer airtime between the same network. That is, only MTN to MTN, glo to glo, Airtel to Airtel and 9mobile to 9mobile.
